Your privacy is of utmost importance to us and we are committed to making sure any personal information you give us is protected. We update our privacy policies from time to time and those policies describe how we use your personal information and cookies. We also provide information as to how to contact us should you have questions or concerns about your personal information. If you do not agree with our policies concerning privacy and cookies, you should stop using our services.

When making a reservation through our site, we ask for certain identifying information, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, payment details, the names of guests traveling with you and your preferences for your stay.

For future use in order to manage reservations, you can open an account, which allows you to save certain settings, make reviews of stays and manage future travel.

We may collect information, including your IP address and information concerning your computer, browser, language and other pages you have visited, when you visit our site, regardless of whether you make a reservation. If you visit our site through a mobile device, we may collect information concerning device-specific settings and latitude/longitude details.

If you choose to follow a link from our site or apps to a third parties’ site, we do not control those sites and as such, this Privacy Policy does not apply. You should review the privacy policies of those third party sites to determine what their procedures are related to your personal information.

We collect your data for:

- Making Reservations and providing those details to the hotels you have booked.
- Customer Service to help you and to allow our staff to respond to your needs.
- Allowing you to make reviews of your stays.
- Marketing Activities, as allowed by law, to provide you news about other products and services.
- Communications, if we need to contact you through the contact information you have provided to us, to respond to requests, to remind you to finalize reservations, to invite you to review your experience with our site.
- Fraud Detection and Prevention to aid us in preventing fraud, and illegal activities.
- To help us improve our services.

How do we share your data with third parties?

We share your personal data with others for a variety of reasons:

  • To finalize your reservations, we send your details (including name, contact information, payment method, and names of other guests traveling with you) to the hotels you’ve reserved.
  • To facilitate the processing of your reservations on our behalf, to send marketing material to you or for analytical support services. These processors are bound by confidentiality clauses and are not allowed to use your personal data for their own purposes or any other purpose.
  • If required by law enforcement or governmental authorities, as required by law.
  • To promote our services and those of our business partners to advertise accommodations or travel-related services.
  • If required in a response to a subpoena, order of a court of competent jurisdiction or for other legal processes, to defend against legal claims made against us or to protect our legal rights, or as may be required by law. We reserve, but are not obligated, the right to make or waive, as the case may be, any object, defense or other right we may have.
  • If we suspect illegal activities and feel that an investigation may be required
  • To ensure that our company and its property, including, but not limited to, its website and apps, our customers, or others, as the case may be, are protected.
  • As may be further set forth in our Terms of Service or other agreements.
  • As may be required for any corporate transaction or matter.

We may also share your information with our affiliates, including third parties providing hotels, transportation services (including, airlines, rental car companies, and others) and tour or other activity services. By utilizing our site to make your reservations, you understand and approve the disclosure by us to these affiliates of such information as may be required to ensure that those services are booked and delivered.

Social Media Presence

Through our presence on social media outlets, we attempt to highlight our services and those of our travel affiliates. You can create an account on our website through integrated plugins and by doing so, certain information is shared between us and your social media provider. Depending on your settings, our information may be shared with your network on the social media site and you may be able to share information with us through our own accounts and apps on various social media outlets.

When you create an account with us using your social media profile, you will receive a notice of what information from your social media profile will be shared with us, which may include basic information such as name, email address and your network of friends. This allows us to personalize our sites and tailor them to you and your friends’ needs. It also provides to us feedback on your experiences and our services.

We do not control or process the data you provided to your social media service. You should review the privacy policies of those social media providers to determine what their procedures are related to your personal information

How do we use information collected from mobile devices?

Our apps, developed to be optimized for mobile use platforms, provide much of the same personal details as identified above and we use this information in the same manner as that received from our website. We may also, with your permission, send you information about your reservation through our apps.

Our mobile apps send us information distinctive to your mobile device such as the mobile device identifier (“MDI”). This information is used to track how many downloads result from advertising methods, such as ad banners.

We also use information received from your mobile device’s GPS system to identify your current location to assist us in identifying hotels near you when you use the app’s “near me” functions. You can turn off the locate me feature using the mobile device’s settings menu.

We also use functions of the apps to identify system crashes or hang-ups in an effort to identify problems, investigate the causes and fix problems that may exist. This feature sends us information concerning the type and version of the mobile device, the date and time of error, and what was being used at the time of the malfunction.

You always have the option of changing what information is sent to us, or turn off certain features using the mobile device’s settings menu. You can also delete the app from the device.

Guest reviews you provide.

We invite you to submit a review of your stay. We obtain and post reviews related to our Providers from YELP. If a customer wishes to post a review of a Provider, we forward the reviewer to YELP and let them create account there and perform the review on YELP’s site. We merely obtain information from YELP. 

Cookies

A cookie is a small amount of data that we may place on your computer’s browser, which allows you to be identified as the same user on various webpages or sites. They allow your choices, such as language and currency, to be recognized.

Not all cookies are the same and are used for different purposes. We use certain types of cookies, including those to help adapt our site to your needs, to remember your preferences and to help use gain knowledge of how our visitors use our site.

We also use other cookies to provide advertisements to you based on your own browsing history.

You can remove ours (and other cookies) from your computer at any time. Our cookies are located in your browser’s settings. You may also limit certain types of cookies from being placed on your browser. Such limitations may limit the functionability of our site.

We may also use trusted third party advertising and/or marketing companies and their related cookies.

Only we have access to cookies placed by us. Third parties have access to cookies placed by them.

Security

We utilize reasonable methods to prevent unauthorized access and abuse of your personal information, in accordance with data protection laws, including appropriate systems and procedures to safeguard information you provide to us. We also have placed procedures and restrictions on our servers, allowing only authorized personnel to access such data.

Information related to your credit card are stored for up to 10 days, after which we either permanently delete or keep in our system for fraud detection purposes. We only retain the last four digits of your credit card to identify reservations made by you such information is stored without full identifying information.

Children

Our services are provided to adults at least 18 years old. While our site is “general audience” appropriate, it is not directed to children. If we obtain actual knowledge that our site has been accessed by a minor and any personal information is provided, we will take reasonable steps necessary to remove the minor’s information from our systems and to notify appropriate authorities, if necessary.

Direct communication

We allow you to communicate with us or the hotel provider about your current reservations.

Our system does screen all electronic communications for malicious content, including spam and certain file types.

We will access communications between you and hotel providers upon a request by you or by the hotel, if required by law, or when we may have a legitimate interest but only as allowed by law.

Additionally, with your consent, we may send you email correspondence from our website or apps provided information about your travel interests, identified by you or by your searches on our sites. In such cases, we may send you information related to special promotions related to those interests in an effort to keep you up to date on those promotions. You always have the choice to opt out of receiving these emails

Contact

You have the right to see what personal information we have kept about you by requesting an overview of your data by emailing us at customercare@weeklyhotels.com. Please notate "Request personal information" as the subject. We also ask that you provide a copy of your identification to prevent unauthorized access. After review, you can request that we update your information, or if you don’t want to use our services again, you can request that we block your data. You can also delete your account at any time through our website. Such requests can be made by emailing us at customercare@weeklyhotels.com. However, we reserve the right to keep such information as may be required for legal purposes or to prevent fraud.

Customer Disputes/Resolution with Hotel Issues: 

We are not responsible for anything that happens to you at the hotel of your choice and expressly waive any liability concerning such. We will attempt to facilitate an amicable resolution between you and the hotel provider. However, any disputes during your stay or billing issues must be resolved with property specifically.

We are merely a reservation facilitator and do not provide accommodation services. We assist you in making, editing and canceling reservations. 

Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to the use of our site or app, us and not related to your stay at the chosen hotel, shall be settled by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its rules of procedure related to such claim. The place of arbitration shall be New Jersey. New Jersey state law shall apply in all disputes. All legal notices shall be sent to 100 Park Ave, New York, NY 10017 Attention Legal, and also by email (mandatory) to customercare@weeklyhotels.com.

Notifications in the event of breach

In the unlikely event of a Data breach, we are prepared to follow any laws and regulations which would require us to notify you of the disclosure of private information.

In the event you are notified or suspect a data breach related to our system, we request that you immediately contact us by email (mandatory) to customercare@weeklyhotels.com with a subject referencing “data breach”.
